More programming, Artwork and Headaches
No. 64 Pixel Street » Devlog
The good news is; Artwork is almost complete. Except for a couple of main pieces here and there and some atmospheric additives.
The bad news is; Programming is a read headache when you're learning new features while trying to implement ideas you've never done before. Talk about a crash course!
Current state:
- Artwork is being implemented and it is all lining up / making sense where applicable
- Some of the programming (i.e. the escape door) is finished
- This includes some databases I'm using for object naming, interaction etc.
- These same databases are for dialouge etc.
- Work will soon start on finishing the artwork and starting to program in the actual puzzles and interaction
- Going forward most of the programming challenges will definitely be smaller, so hopefully things go smoother from here!
Suffice to say, this project has defintely been more stressful than past ones. And I've more or less kept the scope small. It's all been implementation and tackling new problems one after the other with a new premise. At least at the end of it all I'll have a codebase to build from in a future project.
